Roma fullback Nicola Zalewski is doubtful for the upcoming season opener with Salernitana on Sunday.
The player, who suffered an ankle sprain in Roma’s friendly with Tottenham, is being monitored day by day by the club’s medical staff.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Leonardo Spinazzola will likely replace Zalewski in José Mourinho’s starting line-up vs Salernitana.
The Portuguese technician is expected to field a similar starting eleven to the one that faced Shakhtar Donetsk, with Roger Ibañez and Rick Karsdorp slotting in the defense and Paulo Dybala and Nicolò Zaniolo leading the attack alongside Tammy Abraham.
