Roma wide man Nicola Zalewski – author of the opening goal for Roma in tonight’s win over Spezia – spoke about recovering soon after the defeat in the Europa League final.
In his post-match media appearance, Zalewski discussed the importance of qualifying to next year’s Europa League on the last Serie A matchday.
“It was a very intense game,” Zalewski said at full-time. “For us it means a lot to remain in the Europa League.”
“Over the course of this year we did well in the Europa League, there was the possibility of qualifying to the Champions League, but someone and something prevented us from doing so.”
“I’m happy with our reaction after Wednesday night’s loss,” said the Polish international.
“Next year we will try to be more consistent. I know I have to be more consistent. We had good and bad moments, we made some false steps this year,” he concluded.
