A few days have passed since Nicola Zalewski’s first accusations of involvement in the recent illegal betting scandal in Serie A.
The Roma wide man was in fact accused of betting on illegal platforms along with a handful of others players of his age by infamous ex-paparazzo and convict Fabrizio Corona – now the editor of Dillinger News.
Despite these allegations, Zalewski is still not on the authorities’ radar unlike Nicolo Fagioli, Sandro Tonali and Nicolo Zaniolo who have all been confronted by the police.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Zalewski is not being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office in Turin nor the Federal Prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné.
The player and his entourage continue to deny involment.
In the meantime, Roma are said to be waiting to understand the complete picture and – in case of lack of evidence – will prepare for legal action against Corona.
