Nicola Zalewski to start with Real Betis, Smalling expected to rest

Andy Mattioli

Jose Mourinho is planning a minor turnover ahead of the upcoming Europa League affair with Real Betis as the team are coming off an intense win with Inter at the San Siro.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Nicola Zalewski is a strong candidate to start the match with Leonardo Spinazzola returning to the bench. Similarly, Marash Kumbulla is favored to replace Chris Smalling in Mourinho’s backline as the Englishman looks to get some rest after an uninterrupted series of matches as a regular starter.

Matic and Cristante are both expected to feature in the starting eleven as Mady Camara hopes to get his first chance at a starter position in the league engagement with Lecce on Sunday.
