Nicola Zalewski put in an impressive performance in Poland’s 1-1 result with the Czech Republic in last night’s EURO qualifier.

Despite an underwhelming start to the season for the Giallorossi, Zalewski was able to climb his way back to Poland’s senior national team after a brief stint in the U21 squad.

Last night’s draw in Warsaw saw Zalewski being voted as Poland’s man of the match.

After the final whistle, the Roma fullback was interviewed by TVP Sport.

“This result doesn’t make us happy, but our hopes for qualifying are still alive. It’s not over yet,” said Zalewski.

“I just have to think about working hard, being ready and taking advantage of the opportunities I get. I must focus on that.”
