Despite Barcelona’s Gavi lifting the Golden Boy award earlier in the month, Roma’s Nicola Zalewski has come out on top in the Web category issued by Italian newspaper Tuttosport where the voting was open to all supporters.
The Polish international has emerged victorious with a total of 1.3 million fan votes, beating the likes of Bayern’s Jamal Musiala and Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga as well as Benfica’s Antonio Silva, reports Corriere dello Sport.
Zalewski will accept his award on 7 November at the Golden Night event in Turin. Gavi will also attend the event and be crowned Golden Boy.
