The agent of Nicola Zalewski was asked about the recent rumors of a potential January exit that never materialized.

Following a difficult start to the season, Zalewski’s positioning on the pitch underwent a drastic change once Daniele De Rossi replaced Jose Mourinho as the team’s head coach.

With De Rossi, Zalewski is no longer playing as a left-back; De Rossi seems him as a natural winger with the ability to cut inside.

In an interview with Numero Diez, Giovanni Ferro – the player’s agent – spoke about the Polish international.

“He never wanted to leave in January, on the contrary, his intention has always been to do well with Roma, which is the team he supports since childhood.”

“Daniele De Rossi has brought him back to the role he was used to playing since he was a kid and a leap in quality is now expected of him. Being played closer to the opponent’s goal is something he can only benefit from. He is fresh, quick, lively, so the fewer defensive tasks he has, the more he can spend on expressing his quality up front.”
