Former Roma player and current Fiorentina executive Nicolas Burdisso had been recently linked with a potential return to the Italian capital.
The Argentine, in fact, was rumored as one of the possible candidates to take over the sporting director vacancy at Roma in the aftermath of Tiago Pinto’s departure in January.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, however, Burdisso himself denied these links as he is focused on his job with Fiorentina.
In the meantime, Roma continue to monitor various candidates in Italy and abroad with Monza’s Francois Modesto still being the favorite name on Roma CEO Lina Souloukou’s list.
