Nicolas Burdisso is being linked with a future job at Roma.

The ex-Giallorossi defender, now a club executive at Fiorentina, is set to leave la Viola at the end of the season, reports Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport.

With the premature death of Joe Barone, the Tuscan club had carried out a management reorganization, with the former Argentine defender left out of Rocco Commisso’s newly redefined club hierarchy.

Burdisso has made the decision not to renew his contract with Fiorentina and will be thus free to join any club he wants.

Roma are an option for him: the Giallorossi have been linked with Burdisso given their on-going search for a new sporting director and his close friendship with Roma boss Daniele De Rossi.

De Rossi is said to have asked the club to pair him with Burdisso for the upcoming season.
