Former Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo could already be eyeing a return to Serie A.

After only one year away from Italy, the ex-Giallorossi winger is reportedly pushing for a move back to his home country as the loan spell at Aston Villa is quickly coming to an underwhelming end.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Villa will not make Zaniolo’s transfer permanent and thus the player will return to Galatasaray – the club he signed for in February of last year when he decided to permanently part ways with Roma.

Di Marzio claims Zaniolo has asked his entourage to secure him a move back to Italy this summer.

Claudio Vigorelli, Zaniolo’s agent, is currently looking for potential destinations in the country’s top flight: at the moment, Fiorentina and Napoli are the two clubs to have inquired about him.
