Despite a poor performance against Milan, Nicolo Zaniolo is once again predicted to start in Roma’s upcoming match in the Coppa Italia with Genoa on Thursday.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Zaniolo will be regularly included in Mourinho’s starting eleven on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old is trying to turn things around and prove to the manager and the club that he is deserving of the long-awaited contract renewal. Roma, however, do not seem convinced of his efforts.
The Friedkins prefer to wait for his performances to improve before giving Tiago Pinto the green light to define the details of a long-term deal with Zaniolo’s entourage.
