No contact between Roma & Wolves for Diawara

RomaPress – Mystery is still surrounding the future of Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara.

The 24 year-old has been linked with a potential exit throughout the summer after experiencing two rollercoaster campaigns since he joined the Giallorossi.

One of the several clubs rumored to be interested in the ex-Napoli man is Premier League side Wolverhampton. Multiple reports yesterday claimed that Roma executive Tiago Pinto, who’s currently in London, would meet with the English club to discuss the sale of Diawara.

Despite the whispers of a negotiation with Wolves, two members of the midfielder’s entourage have flatly denied that any meeting took place.

At the moment, Diawara has no intention of leaving the Italian capital, though, his side will evaluate all proposals when and if they arrive.

The Guinean has developed a very strong relationship with manager José Mourinho—speaking often with the Portuguese technician, and he’s eager to relaunch his Roma career.
