No Premier League offers yet for Mahrez

Leicester Mercury: Craig Shakespeare says Riyad Mahrez wants to “play for a top-six club” but insisted Leicester City are yet to receive an offer from the Premier League’s biggest sides. Roma are the only club to have made a bid for Mahrez, having had two offers turned down for the former PFA player of the year. The latest was believed to be around £32 million.

Arsenal remain interested and could up their interest if they are unable to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco, which is looking increasingly likely. It has been more than two months since Mahrez released his statement saying he wanted to “move on to a new experience” but has been one of Leicester’s most creative players during pre-season. He impressed once again in the defeat at Burton but Shakespeare said the winger’s desires have not changed.
