Now Corriere dello Sport confirms: Roma have Kovacic agreement

After today’s earlier report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rome-based newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport has confirmed Roma have struck a deal with Mateo Kovacic.

The newspaper reports that Roma have agreed to a contract with Kovacic and now will focus on striking a deal with Real Madrid. Optimism is filtering into Trigoria that a deal could be found. Why? The boy’s agent has expressed his discontent in Madrid due to the lack of space. Real Madrid are willing to sell the player, but do not want a loan with an option to buy: they prefer an obligation to buy.

Spalletti has already given the “OK” for the operation and wants the Croatian in Rome. Roma emissaries will now meet with Real Madrid to try and close the gap to finalize the operation.
