Nzonzi departs from Turkey, set to join Rennes

Steven Nzonzi is cutting his loan at Galatasaray short to join French side Rennes.

The Frenchman, who was spotted at Istanbul Airport boarding a flight to France, has been seeking a new club since early December — which was when he was suspended by the Istanbul based club for refusing to finish-out a training session with the rest of his teammates.

The former Sevilla man will join Rennes on loan, however, it remains to be seen if an option to buy will be included into the deal.

Galatasaray were paying all of Nzonzi’s wages this season and it’s expected that the Ligue 1 outfit will also do the same.
