Nzonzi: “It’d probably be best to end my time at Galatasaray”.

Steven Nzonzi was interviewed today by Telefoot and discussed his current situation at Galatasaray. The Frenchman was suspended by the club a few weeks ago for refusing to finish a training session with the rest of his teammates.

“When things aren’t going well, the finger gets pointed at the players,” he said.

“For me, everything could’ve been solved with words. However, it’s probably most advantageous for everyone involved, perhaps, that this loan ends and I find a new place. I hope I can stay in a top European league. Lyon? An excellent club but everything depends what I’m told. PSG? My entire family lives in Paris and I’m a Parisian — it’d be nice for any players to play at this club”.

Nzonzi joined Galatasaray on loan from Roma this past summer on a free loan. The Turkish side were also paying the Frenchman’s full wages, but it remains to be seen where his next destination will be given that Paulo Fonseca unlikely has space for him back in the Italian capital.
