Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles is officially a Roma player.
Although the deal hasn’t been announced by the clubs, the Lega Serie A’s website shows that the Giallorossi have deposited the Englishman’s contract.
Maitland-Niles joins the capital club on a straight loan until June—no option to buy is included within the deal.
The 24 year-old joins Roma after seeing a significant reduction in his role under Mikel Arteta. He’s appeared in only eight matches in all competitions for the Gunners.
He’s expected to land at Ciampino Airport in the coming hours. It’s also increasingly likely that he’ll be called-up for Sunday’s affair versus Juve.
