Andrea Belotti has officially left Roma after two years in the Italian capital and joined newly promoted Como on a permanent deal.

Earlier today, both clubs confirmed “il Gallo” has signed a two-year contract with the Biancoblu—marking an end to his tumultuous spell with the Giallorossi.

He leaves the club with totals of 10 goals and 4 assists in 68 appearances across all competitions. Belotti also spent the second half of last season on loan with Fiorentina.

“I chose Como because I was very impressed by the project presented by the coach and the ownership group,” he told the club’s official website.

“When speaking with the coach, he shared his ideas about football, his approach to each game, and his mentality. This was crucial for me because the coach’s mentality aligns with my own.”

Adding, “As I mentioned before, I think it is a very ambitious project with the right mindset. It has everything needed to succeed.”

Como boss Cesc Fabregas also weighed in on Belotti’s signing, noting his vast experience in Italy’s top flight.

“We are very happy that Andrea has joined the Como family,” stated the Spaniard.

“As we embark on an exciting and important season back in Serie A, his experience of the league will be crucial and we know he has the ability to be a formidable goal scorer.”
