Roma have officially announced the temporary signing of Angelino from Leipzig.

In a statement released on their official website, Roma made the following announcement:

“AS Roma is delighted to confirm the signing of Spanish defender Angelino on an initial loan deal.

Angelino, 27, has joined the Giallorossi from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig on a temporary basis until 30 June 2024.

As part of the agreement, the club has the option to make the transfer permanent.

“When I heard the word Roma, I didn’t hesitate. Today, I’m proud to be a part of a great club with an incredible history and a team full of champions,” said the defender.

“I’m excited to meet the coach and my new teammates and put myself at their disposal.”

With Angelino, we welcome a fully matured player. We believe that his technical abilities, combined with his wealth of experience in the most competitive European leagues, can match and improve our squad’s potential,” commented Tiago Pinto, Roma’s General Manager, Football.

Angelino will wear the No. 69 shirt for the Giallorossi.
