Roma have announced the permanent departure of Chris Smalling.
The English defender has signed on for Saudi side Al Fayha.
“AS Roma can confirm that Chris Smalling has joined Al-Fayha on a permanent deal,” reads the official announcement.
“The English defender, who joined the Giallorossi in the summer of 2019, made 155 games appearances and scored ten goals.
In the 2021-22 season, he helped the team win the Conference League title.
The club wishes Chris all the best in the future!”
