Dean Huijsen’s decision to represent the Spanish national team has become official.
The Juventus defender – currently on loan at Roma for the remainder of the season – has made the decision to favor his Spanish citizenship – which he officially obtained today – over his Dutch one.
He will be from now on eligible to play for Spain and is expected to join their U21 team for the next international break.
Although born in the Netherlands, Huijsen moved to Spain at the age of 5 where he lived for the next 12 years in Malaga.
