Official: Florenzi joins PSG

Both AS Roma and PSG announced today that the transfer of Alessandro Florenzi has been officially completed.

The Italian has joined the French side on loan until 30 June 2021 with an option to make the deal permanent.

Florenzi has gone on to make 280 appearances for the Giallorossi, scoring 28 goals during his time in the Italian capital.

The 29 year-old spoke briefly to the French side’s official website after having signed his contract with the French giants.

“I’m really proud and happy to become a Paris Saint-Germain player,” said the defender.

“They’re one of the major clubs in Europe today, confirmed by their run to the Champions League final last month. I’m keen to give my best for Paris Saint-Germain and the supporters”.

“We have extraordinary challenges ahead of us this season, and it will be a pleasure and an honour to face them alongside my new teammates, who are among the best players in the world”.
