Roma’s transfer campaign has commenced and one of the first pieces of business for the Giallorossi is the permanent sale of Maxime Gonalons to Granada, who he joined on loan last summer, for €4 million.
The Frenchman, who joined Roma in the summer of 2017 from Lyon, has signed a new contract with the Spanish side, which will expire in 2023 after the option to buy the midfielder was automatically triggered as Granada avoided relegation.
Gonalons joined the La Liga outfit last summer after it became clear he did not fit into the plans of Roma manager Paulo Fonseca.
It was the second consecutive loan spell for Gonalons, who spent last season at Sevilla.
