Justin Kluivert has officially left Roma, joining the Premier League’s Bournemouth on a permanent deal for a fee worth €11 million plus €1.5 million in potential bonuses.
The transfer ends the Dutchman’s tumultuous five-year spell with the club after his arrival in 2018 from Ajax. He ends his stint in the capital with a total of 9 goals score in 68 appearances across all competitions.
Kluivert spent the past three seasons away from the club on loan with RB Leipzig, Nice and Valencia.
AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake commented on the deal to the club’s official website stating: “We are delighted to have made Justin our first signing ahead of the new season. He was coveted by a number of clubs across Europe and his arrival is a sign of his ambition, which is matched by ours.”
“Justin is an exciting and versatile attacking player who has an eye for goal. He is pacey, direct and boasts a high level of technical ability.”
Adding, “Although he only recently turned 24, Justin has a wealth of experience and has played domestically at the highest level in five different countries.”
“We are all very much looking forward to working with Justin, a player we believe will be a great addition to our squad and someone our supporters will enjoy watching.”
