After spending one year in Germany at RB Leipzig, Justin Kluivert is ready to embrace a new challenge. This time it will take place in Ligue 1.
More specifically, the Dutch international joins OGC Nice on loan with an initial fee of €1 million and an option to buy set at €14 million. According to Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, the option turns into an obligation in case OGC Nice reach UCL or UEL qualification and Kluivert makes a specific number of appearances.
The 22-year-old winger spent two years in the capital after being brought in by former sporting director Ramon Monchi from Ajax in the summer of 2018. In his time in the capital, Kluivert made 68 appearances for the Roman club, finishing with 9 goals and 10 assists.
Last season, Kluivert made 27 appearances for RB Leipzig scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist.
The player considers this an exciting new project, with Nice manager Christophe Galtier personally pushing for the move.
