Aleksandar Kolarov has officially renewed his contract with the Giallorossi for an additional season.
The Serbian’s contract was set to expire this summer, however, he has put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2021.
“I want to thank the club for this contract extension, it means a great deal to me,” Kolarov said. “Even now I see it as another starting point: I intend to keep on improving and developing in order to contribute to the growth of this club.”
Kolarov joined the Giallorossi in the summer of 2017 for €5 million and has played a pivotal role for the team since arriving – collecting 113 appearances, 17 goals, and assists.
“We are delighted to be able to announce this renewal,” club chief executive Guido Fienga said. “Aleksandar has always been the consummate professional, both on and off the pitch. With this renewal, we can continue to count on that contribution.”
