Roma officially announced the sale of Leandro Paredes to Roberto Mancini’s Zenit. Here isn’t the club’s full statement:
The club can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg for the transfer of midfielder Leandro Paredes.
Zenit will pay an initial fee of €23 million for the 23-year-old. The deal includes various performance-related clauses, related to both the club and the player, that could be worth up to an additional €4m. Paredes, a product of the Boca Juniors academy, made his debut for the Giallorossi in September 2014. He spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Empoli, where he was one of the key players as the Tuscan side finished 10th in Serie A.
