Roma officially unveiled the club’s new CEO, Pietro Berardi, this evening following the news that former CEO Guido was on his way out.
Berardi, 47, is the former head of Pirelli’s North American division and boasts an extensive professional background in the finance and automotive industries.
“I am really honoured to be joining AS Roma at such an exciting moment in the club’s development,” Berardi said to ASRoma.com.
“I want to thank the Friedkin family for entrusting me with the responsibility to implement all the ambitions they have for this amazing club. Everyone knows about the deep bond AS Roma has with Rome, one of the greatest cities in the world, and to become a part of that is both an honour and a privilege I will take on with all the passion and commitment I possess.
“I cannot wait to get started, to meet all my new colleagues and to begin the process of reaching all the goals we have in front of us. I also want to thank Guido for everything he achieved during his time here.”
Berardi will also succeed succeed Fienga as a member of the Executive Committee of the company.
The news means that the 51 year-old Fienga will end his eight-year spell with the club, where he held multiple decisions before being named CEO in 2019.

“As we first began to outline our vision for the club, Guido’s experience and insight, along with the leadership and continuity he provided, were invaluable in helping us to define the various priorities we needed to address and the key steps to take.”
“We are pleased that he will continue to be on our side as a consultant as our plans for this great club continue to take shape.”
