Official: Ponce joins Lille

Ezequiel Ponce has officially left Roma to join Ligue 1 outfit Lille.

The French club announced: “U-20 Argentinian international Ezequiel Ponce (20 years old) has joined Lille on loan with an option to buy from AS Roma.”

Speaking to the French club’s official website regarding his move, Ponce stated: “I am happy to be joining Lille. I arrive with a lot of ambition and want to give my best. I am delighted to be under Marcelo Bielsa again, who managed me in the past at Newell’s. He is a manager who has shown he knows how to develop young players like myself. I hope to progress and score many goals.”
