Official: Riccardi joins Pescara on loan

Roma have confirmed that midfielder Alessio Riccardi has officially joined Serie B side Pescara on loan.

The 19-year-old joins the Abruzzo side on a season-long deal that runs until 30 June 2021. As part of the agreement, the Delfini have the option to make the transfer permanent. In this instance, the Giallorossi will retain a buy-back option on the player.

A graduate of the club’s academy setup, Riccardi has made one senior appearance for Roma – coming on as a second half substitute in a Coppa Italia win against Virtus Entella in January 2019.

The youngster was heavily linked with a potential summer move to Napoli as part of a deal for Arkadiusz Milik — however, the player remains in Italy and stays under the Giallorossi’s control.
