Steven Nzonzi has officially joined Ligue 1 outfit Rennes — cancelling his loan at Galatasaray prematurely.
The Turkish side announced that Nzonzi has left the club by mutual consent following his row with the club last month. Rennes welcome the midfielder on loan and will also be responsible for paying his full wages for the remainder of the season.
Nzonzi also drew interest from England and Spain, however, he has opted to return to his homeland to join Rennes, who will have the option to extend the loan by an additional season.
