William Vainqueur has officially left Roma.
The midfielder has returned to France to join Marseille on loan with an option to buy. The Frenchman leaves Roma after only one season in which he primarily played a role off of the bench.
The player’s future at Roma has been in doubt ever since the arrival of Luciano Spalletti, who didn’t seem to take to the player, even clashing with him during training sessions throughout the summer.
