Official: William Bianda joins Belgian side Zulte Waregem

Roma flop William Bianda has officially left the club to join Belgian side Zulte Waregem.

The Frenchman, who joined Roma from Lens in 2018 for €6 million plus €5 million in bonus payments, joins the Belgians on loan with an option buy.

“I am very proud to be able to work for Zulte this season,” said the 20 year-old. “I am still very young, so I am looking forward to taking a lot of steps in my development at Zulte Waregem.”

Bianda was purchased by former Roma sporting director Ramon Monchi and has been widely considered one of the biggest flops in the club’s recent history.

The defender did not make a senior appearance for the Giallorossi and even struggled while playing with the club’s Primavera side.
