Ola Solbakken’s excitement about joining Jose Mourinho’s side was evident in the player’s first interview with the club after having signed a long-term deal until 2027 with the Giallorossi.
The Norwegian attacker reiterated several times his positive impressions of the club’s fanbase, and, in a brief interview with Corriere dello Sport, recalled facing Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in the return leg of the Conference League quarter-finals which resulted in a 4-0 win for the hosts.
“When we lost the return leg with Bodo, and Roma went through, the atmosphere was insane. I’ve never felt so small on the pitch in all my life. I had goose-bumps just from looking at the crowd of supporters,” he said.
