Norwegian attacker Ola Solbakken is set to become Roma’s first January reinforcement.

The 23-year-old is expected to land in Italy later today – around 13:50 local time, reports Il Tempo – after completing his international duty with Norway’s national team. The player came on in the final minutes of a 1-1 draw with Helsinki on Sunday.

Upon his arrival in the Italian capital, Solbakken will reach Trigoria where he is set to sign his long-term contract with the Giallorossi. The contract will be worth €1 million and valid until 2027.

However, given that his current contract with Bodo/Glimt is set to expire on 31 December, Solbakken will not be allowed to join his new teammates in their upcoming trip to Japan and – later on – Portugal. Therefore, the attacker will only join Mourinho’s side in January.
