RomaPress – Bodø/Glimt attacker Ola Solbakken might be the next acquisition to land in the Italian capital and join Roma.
Thanks to an impressive 2021/22 campaign, the 23 year-old has a long list of suitors interested in acquiring him this summer ahead of his contract expiration in December.
Beyond Roma, the Norwegian international’s agent, Anders Carlsson, held talks with Napoli, Celtic, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Galatasaray to discuss a potential summer transfer.
However, Roma gained a leg-up in the race for the attacker late last week when they met in secret with the player and his agent after they arrived at Ciampino Airport on a private flight.
Following the over three hour meeting, Solbakken expressed his desire to join the capital club despite the interest from several other suitors.
His agent will meet with Bodø/Glim executives in the coming days, hoping to convince them to green light the move and accept the Giallorossi’s offer.
To date, the Norwegian side have denied the transfer speculation surrounding Solbakken, insisting he’ll remain at the club until his deal comes to an end.
