Milan attacker Olivier Giroud was seen leaving the San Siro in tears following another disappointing display by Stefano Pioli’s men against Sassuolo earlier today.
Similarly to his coach, the Frenchman pointed to Roma’s comeback at San Siro as the start of their recent struggles.
“Roma’s comeback really hurt us in the long run,” he told DAZN after fulltime today. “We could have won 2-0 and instead we lost, unable to react.”
“Things are not going the right way but we have to stick together and fight all together. We all try to do well with a great desire to make our fans proud of us; they have supported us so far, I am very disappointed in our performance.”
