Olsen criticised by the Swedish media

The start of Robin Olsen’s tenure as the goalkeeper of AS Roma has been difficult. The former Copenhagen goalkeeper refused to speak to the local media while on national team duty ahead of his side’s match against Turkey as many in the Swedish media have deemed Olsen not good enough for neither Roma nor the national team. His teammates, however, were quick to defend him, according to Expressen. Bologna midfielder, Filip Helander, backed Olsen while speaking during the Swedish national team’s latest retreat: “Clearly it’s difficult because Alisson was Serie A’s best goalkeeper last season and then you have Roma, which is a big club with huge expectations.”
