Olsen rejects loan extension at Cagliari, set to return to Roma on 1 July

Goalkeeper Robin Olsen has communicated to Cagliari that he will not sign a short-term extension to prolong his loan from Roma at the Sardinian side.

The Swede joined Cagliari last summer on a dry loan following his disastrous single season at Roma.

Olsen and his entourage had until 30th June to find an agreement with Cagliari, however, the parties have been unable to do so. Tuttomercatoweb reports that the goalkeeper expressed his concerns about potentially contracting an injury during the extended period.

The ex-Copenhagen man will find a new club this summer as he has no future at Roma, whom he will return to on 1 July. Several foreign sides, including from Turkey and Portugal, have expressed their interest in him.
