Nearly nine months since suffering a brutal injury, Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola’s return to the pitch is getting closer and closer.
The Italian international flew to Finland earlier this week for a follow-up consultation on his repaired Achilles tendon with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Lasse Lempainen.
According to Sky Sport, the defender’s tendon appears to have healed well and there haven’t been any setbacks during his rehabilitation. As a result, all signs point to Spinazzola receiving the green light to return to full training in the coming days.
The defender will return to the Italian capital tomorrow and has his eyes set on returning to the pitch for the final two months of the season.
