Ozan Kabak emerges as an option for the defense

With Chris Smalling’s conditions yet to be determined following his injury during today’s training, Roma are thinking of bringing an additional defender.

One of the names linked with the capital club is that of Ozan Kabak. The Turkish international spent last season on loan at Liverpool from Schalke. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma are closely monitoring the young defender.

The German side may be looking to monetize from an eventual sale before the end of the transfer window.

However, several clubs in Serie A are interested in the 21-year-old and Roma would first have to sell Federico Fazio who has been excluded from Mourinho’s plans.
