RomaPress – The negotiations between current president James Pallotta and Dan Friedkin, the CEO of The Friedkin Group, are continuing at a slow yet optimistic pace. Various articles appeared today in Italian media stating that there has been a slow-down and a stall in talks between the parties and that the deal is at risk. However, sources both from Boston and Texas have informed RomaPress that this isn’t the case.
“Once we have assurances (on the Stadio della Roma) from the Mayor (of Roma, Virginia Raggi), then I think you’ll see a quick progression (in negotiations),” a person close to the negotiations told RomaPress earlier this week.
This is a complex negotiation involving several companies and properties, including the Stadio della Roma. The sides are optimistic that a deal will be struck in the coming weeks and that AS Roma will be passed to the hands of the Texas-based consortium.
