Pallotta: “We’re a good side. We proved that against Barcelona.”

Roma president James Pallotta spoke to Sky Sport today ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Liverpool. Here are his words:

“My impression is that the team is able to make a leap in quality when needed, especially in the Champions League. We know the qualities of Salah and the other players. They have a strong attack, like Barcelona or Chelsea. We are definitely a good side and we proved that against Barcelona. Even in the first leg, despite several mistakes, the result did not reflect that.”

He continued,“I do not think Salah is the most dangerous man, I think all of them are. He wouldn’t be scoring all these goals unless he had some help around him. Salah is having an incredible season, but the whole team is really dangerous. Everyone thinks that Liverpool is stronger than Roma, especially after their victories over Manchester City, who won the Premier League and are very strong. I wrote to Guardiola the other day to congratulate him, but I do not think they are stronger than us. When we’re doing well, we have a different style than them, maybe we match up better to them than others. In the Premier League, the English teams play more open, the Italian teams are more tactical and defensive. I’m not worried about any one particular team, we’re going to go and play.”
