Soon-to-be former Roma president James Pallotta hit back at current Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso after the latter stated that the Bostonian made promises he couldn’t keep during his nine-year reign at the club.
Pallotta agreed to a deal earlier this week to sell Roma to Houston-based entrepreneur Dan Friedkin, who will takeover the Giallorossi on 17 August — signaling the end of 62 year-old’s time in the Italian capital.
“C’mon Rocco, you can not still be upset from our meeting in New York over five years ago when I told you I would never ever ever have you as a partner in a great club like Roma,” responded Pallotta to La Viola’s top man.
