Roma president James Pallotta appeared on Sirius XM and spoke on various topics regarding Roma, here are his words:
“One thing that hurt us this year is that we had a lot of injuries. We need more depth for the Champions League next year. Spalletti is a complicated guy but also genius, though, I think he let Roma and the media bother him too much. He saved my ass last year and this year. His replacement? Monchi has a couple of guys he really likes. Hopefully we’ll have a new manager in the next week.”
“Salah to Liverpool? We continue to get offers for many players, but we need to straighten out our roster so we’ll see what happens. We were affected by injuries last season so we need to add 4 maybe 5 key players. Florenzi’s injury alone cost us 4 points and who knows where we would’ve finished in the table if we lost Dzeko. Totti? He’s still deciding but I think he’d be a great brand ambassador to help us grow the Roma brand.”
