Matias Viña, as announced yesterday, is expected to land in the Italian capital in the coming hours. However, since the player is travelling from Brazil, he will have to undergo a period of quarantine.
Palmeiras’ sporting director, Anderson Barros, released the following statement to TNT Brazil, clarifying the situation.
“There are on-going talks for a deal with Roma. In good faith and realising that there are protocols to be respected with regard to a period of quarantine for those that arrive for professional reasons, Palmeiras has allowed the player to travel to Italy.”
“However, the club wants to clarify that the deal is not completed yet and will only be completed once everything comes to a close.”
