Dybala’s return comes at the most critical moment of the Giallorossi’s season.

After weeks of forced layoffs, the Argentine striker’s recovery is now complete: the wait for the medical staff’s final approval is drawing to a close, and the goal is a call-up for Saturday’s away match in Bologna.

Although a starting role is unlikely, La Joya’s presence at the Dall’Ara is a crucial sign for a Champions League campaign that has become drastically more complicated following the draw with Atalanta and Juventus’ simultaneous victory against Italiano’s team.

As for the transfer market, doubts remain over his permanence in the capital. Leandro Paredes, fresh from his winning goal in the Superclásico, has once again spoken about the possibility of seeing his teammate in a Boca Juniors jersey in the second half of the year.

The former Roma midfielder was explicit about Dybala’s intentions: “I’m saying this because he’s very eager, I’ve already said it. Maybe. I won’t say anything else.”

Currently, the contractual situation at Trigoria is at a standstill. There have been no official contacts or proposals for a renewal of a deal that’s close to expiring.
