Parma initiate contact for Juan Jesus

John Solano

Fellow Serie A side, Parma, is preparing to welcome Qatari entrepreneur Hisham Al Mana to the club as their new president and owner in the coming weeks — but as they await his arrival, they also continue to work on the transfer market.

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Parma sporting director Daniele Faggiano is eyeing defensive reinforcements this summer and one name he is considering is that of Roma defender Juan Jesus.

Contact was initiated between the parties today for the Brazilian, whose contract with Roma expires in 2021.

The former Inter man has lost his place under Paulo Fonseca and has compiled only 194 minutes and four appearances in the league this season. The Gialloblu could potentially be the right destination for the player to relaunch his career as a summer move away from the Italian Capital looks increasingly likely.
