Javier Pastore continues to be excluded from the first team along with a number of other players whom Roma want to get rid of by the end of this transfer window.
The player once again a gave lengthy interview to Tempo de Juego about his struggle in finding a new team to join.
When asked about Mourinho, he said:
“I haven’t had the chance to meet with Mourinho as the club are trying to off-load me. We never had the opportunity to meet each other, and I was never given the chance to train in front of the coach and let him decide whether he wants to take a chance on me or not.”
He described the frustration of being excluded from the first team.
“I’m currently training with a group of about twenty players whom Roma want to sell or send on loan. We’re waiting until the end of the transfer window to see if something changes.”
About the lack of offers:
“I haven’t received any concrete offer. It’s very difficult to find a new team given the circumstances related to Covid.”
“Moreover, even after I came back from the injury that kept me sidelined for most of the year, in the last four months of the season I was barely given any playing time. This has further complicated things for me in terms of finding a new team because nobody has seen me play in over a year.”
He concluded:
“I’m trying to find a solution so that the club can let me go and get rid of my contract, but right now there are no concrete offers.”
