Roma midfielder Javier Pastore gave an interview to the Argentine outlet mundodad.lavoz.com. These are his words:
What is your analysis of your first year in Rome?
It was a little strange. I came to Rome to try to play more and be indispensable for the team. These were my desires and that of the club. However, for several reasons this was not the case. I didn’t find have much continuity. The important thing is that when I was healthy, I played and scored several goals. Above all, it’s crucial that I overcame the vicious circle of continuous injuries. I will start the pre-season with much higher expectations and with the desire to have a more competitive season and better one than the last.
Your present and future?
I have a contract for another three or four years. I see no reason to leave. Since last year was not so good, I would really like to have an important year here. I want people to know me for how I play and what I can do on the pitch. That’s what I think.
Was River and Boca’s interest real?
There has been a lot of talk, but I don’t know if there was any intention from either club to bring me, nobody spoke to me.
